July 2012 MECB awarded a grant to take part in the two year Leonardo da Vinci project LogiCAD -Transfer Of Best-Practice & Innovation in CAD for Logistics Stakeholders. The project will be coordinated byInstituto Tecnológico de Aragón of Spain. Due to its past expreience of successfully completing EU Project, MECB will form part of the LogiCAD's Steering Committee.
July 2012 MECB awarded a grant by EUPA to take part in the Grundtvig Learning Partnership JoyAR - Joyful Adult Training Using Augmented Reality. The project runs for two years as from 1st August 2012.
June 2012 MECB together with FFL and IHS of Malta is awarded a tender by Transport Malta to design and host e-Learning courses on Customer Care and Health & Safety. MECB will be applying its extensive expertise on the design of e-Learning courseware.

MECB organizes the first 2012 EU In-Service Training Course on Eco Innovation & Sustainable Development. Various participants, coming from Romania, Czech Republic, Italy, UK and Finland attended this Winter course.

Two MECB expert engineers attend the FP7 Open House building assessment training held at Arup Offices in London, UK. during this meeting the expert group leaders, namely FRAUNHOFER, EDF,  BOUYGUES, APINTECH, DGNB,  presented the evaluation areas of the developed assessment methodology.

MECB Ltd has been awarded a contract to execute case-study assessments on office buildings in Malta and Cyprus, using the European transparent building sustainability assessment methodology being developed by the FP7 Open House consortium.

MECB together with St. Theresa College, both partners in the LETS DO IT Grundtvig LLP Project aimed organized a final seminar on 'Creating Joyful Learning Environments' held on 3rd June 2011 in Bugibba. This seminar was well attended by Maltese adult training stakeholders.

On 2nd September 2010, MECB organized a euCAD seminar targeting draughtsmen and other design related stakeholders during an event entitled 'Exploiting CAD Technology for SMEs and Industrial Applications' organized with the Malta branch of the UK Institution of Engineering Designers. 

 

June 2010

On 16th June 2010, MECB organized a euCAD seminar targeting SMEs from the furniture industry based in Malta. The event was jointly organized with the Malta Furniture Manufacturer's Organization. During this seminar, participants were introduced to the benefits of CAD for SMEs in the furniture industry, to Collaborative Design technology and how it can help them gain a competitive advantage and last but not least to the euCAD Framework.

It is announced that MECB Ltd has been awarded a new Leonardo da Vinci project nicknamed euCAD concerning 'Amplifying Skills for European SMEs in Computer Aided Industrial Design'. In its award letter, the EU Commission stated that there were a total of 225 project proposals. euCAD will see MECB Ltd working with partners coming from Romania, Estonia, Portugal, UK and Lithuania.

The Leonardo da Vinci project CECA in which MECB Ltd had participated was featured in Government's newsletter FOCUS Issue 38 which is widely disseminated in Malta.

MECB Ltd partners with the German company Thomas Angele Technik GmbH to develop and offer specialized training courses.

MECB Managing Director Jonathan C. Borg participates in the euSDET EU project kick-off meeting held at Taormina, Italy. Dr Borg was interviewed by Radio Liberta on the role of MECB in helping EU Countries improved their Sustainable Development scenarios.

 

November 2005

MECB awarded an 18-month EU project to develop a course on ECDL for CAD. The project acronym is CECA.

 

October 2005

MECB awarded a contract by Methode Electronics Malta Ltd to deliver another in-house course on TPM (level 2).

 

August 2005 MECB, together with another 8 European partners was awarded a 24-month EU project to develop a course on Sustainable Development. The project acronym is euSDET.
