Anyone in the world By Jonathon Hardcastle The dawn of computers has made life easier for people in a number of ways. We can express our thoughts and ideas better. We can communicate easier with other people wherever in the world they may be. We can even conduct business more efficiently and more quickly. Why, computers have even improved the way we play the dating game. With the growing popularity of online dating, meeting a member of the opposite sex has never been easier. The days when men and women grappled with the problem of finding a date for Saturday night are long gone. Now all you have to do is to spend a few hours online, maybe even less, and you can find a date instantly. With online dating, a new world of possibilities has been opened for single men and women. At any time of the day or night, there is a good chance of meeting someone interesting online, probably in the same area that you are in. Romance is perpetually in the air in the free-wheeling world of the internet, virtually unhampered by very little rules and regulations. Everyone seems to be singing that old Paul McCartney song, No More Lonely Nights. Finding a date on the internet is as simple as ABC. First, you simply select a dating website that you are interested in, list down your personal information then look for someone who conforms to certain criteria that you specify, particularly with regard to age range, gender, location and other personal preferences. You have the option to upload your photo and view the photos of others. But be careful with whom you deal with because there are a lot of people who use fake identifies and convey false information online. A number of online dating sites have special services that make online interaction better, specifically online chat, webcasts and message boards. Registration is usually fee on some websites while others charge monthly membership fees. However, even the free websites charge a fee if you want to avail of any of their special services. According to recent figures, online dating is now the most popular online service in America, with $469.5 million revenues in 2004. There are now an estimated 844 lifestyle and dating sites. Among the most popular ones are Yahoo Personals, Match.com, American Singles, and eHarmony. Anyone in the world By David Gomm I attend business workshops and seminars every month in an effort to learn more about running a business.
The one common question that I hear the most is how can I market my service or product. We often have students who catch the glimpse of how great it is to do glass and they start to imagine themselves doing glass work for a living. Some have been brave enough to ask us how they might be able to make money doing stained glass.
We have many times replied that we don't know, if they find out, will they please let us know how? But here are some of the basics of promoting and marketing stained glass. Going To The Fair 1. We heard from several people that attending craft fairs would be the best way that we could market our glass. We were told stories about the success of glass artists who sell $30,000 worth of glass every year in just two days!
With success like that, we figured we better go to a fair. 2. In Sept 2005 we went to Swiss Days in Midway, Utah with high hopes, but things didn't go as planned. We didn't quite make back the booth fees we'd paid.
What went wrong? 3. To answer that, we need to examine several factors. A. As gift glass sellers, we failed because we didn't sell enough product. Why? Because we didn't have enough small gift items to sell. You can't sell what you don't have. B. We were focused as custom glass artists. We passed out cards and made contacts at the fair. We showed a lot of art glass at the fair and actually succeeded in making a lot of contacts. Over the next few months we picked up several new customers and got to build a lot of custom work as a direct result of the fair. Conclusion: It felt like a failure because we made so little during the fair, but we had a great time and met many people who wanted stained glass, which lead to some custom work. In the future we plan to take more gift items to satisfy our immediate cash flow needs and we plan to have response cards in an attempt to get those who are interested in stained glass to give us some contact information. We may offer a free video on cd/dvd as a way to get folks to give us their information.
We've also determined to attend smaller boutiques throughout the year in an effort to refine what sells and better learn what the gift market will consist of. Getting Custom Work 4. When Tom Holdman (a local stained glass artist) decided to become a stained glass artist, a neighbor recommended that he go to a wealthy neighborhood and go door to door asking if they need stained glass in their home. He did just that and made a contact with a family who wanted glass and had some influence with the library board. This lead to a commercial job which lead to a great deal of publicity. 5. What can we learn from this story? That any friendship or relationship can lead to glass work. What we must do is ask anyone and everyone if they want or need stained glass work. Then, we must doggedly follow-up when someone expresses an interest. It is often amazing how a simple monthly phone call will eventually pay off. There have been many clients in our past who put off their project for a year or more. What you want to remember is that they wanted the window enough to have you design it, so keep in touch. Then they'll think of you when the finances ease up. Wouldn't it be sad to have another artist get to build your creation, just because you didn't phone them every month? Selling Cabinet Door Inserts 6. When a customer asks for cabinet door inserts, it will help the process along if you are ready to ask them the questions which will narrow down their choices and help to determine what you'll need to do with the doors.
Ask if the doors are new or refurbished. If you can, learn the brand and manufacturer and most importantly, are they routed out for inserts, this will let you know if they can come straight to you for glass or if they need to go to your wood worker to have them modified. 7. Helping the customer arrive at what they want will save you and them a lot of time. So ask if they want to use transparent or opaque glass. What colors do they want to introduce and what bevels if any should go into the design. Do they want to add lighting to their cabinets and how much do they plan to spend. Do they want truly leaded panels or will single side leading be adequate. Last, what finish do they want, black, silver, pewter, bright copper or antique copper. 8. But how do we find these clients? We advertise in the yellow pages under cabinet makers equipment and supplies and we go to cabinet shops and put samples into their hands. The best thing to do is furnish glass samples of those which we carry and sample glass designs that they can show their customers. I like to furnish 8" wide by 10" tall samples because they fit comfortably in a box and are easy for the cabinet sales people to haul around. This is an investment of time, effort and money which is necessary because the salesman won't sell for me if they don't think about stained glass when they meet with clients. Educate Folks About Stained Glass 9. Occasionally, in the past, we would moan and complain about the lack of understanding that the public had of what good stained glass was and how it enhances ones environment. Then one day, the light came on and we realized that it was our job to educate the public. We knew that the best clients for custom glass were the ones who had tried it and discovered that it wasn't all that easy to build glass. They had a higher appreciation for the value of the work.
As artists, we not only have to raise the awareness of our art, we have to teach about the complexities and subtleties of our art. If you don't point out it's strengths, who will? 10. We discovered that one way to educate the community was to hold free or low cost seminars and workshops. This leads to many opportunities to share your knowledge of the stained glass industry and techniques. It also serves to raise the consciousness level of the community of stained glass around them. 11. You know how it is, you start looking for a leather sofa, or buy one and everywhere you look, you find leather sofas. Then you find a brand of running shoes that are particularly comfortable and you suddenly notice that "everyone" is wearing that brand of shoes. Your consciousness level has been raised and once it's been raised, it will never be the same again.
That's what you want to have happen with the community as far as stained glass is concerned. 12. We also found that the decorators and designers that often recommend us to their clients needed to be educated in the subtitles of stained glass art. They often didn't know the finishes available or what the difference between the leaded method and copper foil were. 13. So we prepared presentations and educational materials for them, so they could have them for their clients. But we made sure that they were exposed to all the materials so that they would be knowledgeable when they presented them to their clients. 14. In conclusion, promoting your stained glass art is all about movement. You've got to prove you're not dead. And you do that by attending fairs and boutiques so you can read the pulse of your market. And you stay in touch with those you meet. You groom relationships. You spend time talking with friends and former clients, not just to ask them for leads but also to get their feelings about glass. And you promote specific products which you specialize in, like cabinet doors. And finally, you remember that you are a cheerleader for your industry and it doesn't matter if you provide a free seminar which results in someone getting excited about glass and going to your competition. What goes around, comes around. If you are out there promoting stained glass, so will your competition and you'll find that there really isn't any competition in this field. That there is plenty of work to go around. Many people want and need stained glass in their lives, they just don't know it yet. So go out there and find them! Anyone in the world By Etienne Gibbs "Doing a good job is one of the most important ways to move up the ladder", says Dr. Don Bagin, Professor of Communications at Glassbro State College. If you are one of the many people who do a good job consistently but are not noticed by top management, here are some suggestions to help you get on the fast track: Smiling: Research has shown that people who smile are perceived to be more intelligent than those who don't. Prioritizing: Avoid spending a great deal of time on things that aren't important just because you are good at them. The person who gets ahead is the person who establishes priorities and sets aside time for them accordingly. Walking: Choose to walk rather than drive as often as possible. And when you do, walk at least ten to fifteen percent faster than you normally would. Somehow this faster pace communicates to others that you are a person with a mission who is eager to get the job done. Speaking actively: Use the active voice when speaking or writing. Listen to the difference: "I prepared and delivered the reports promptly." Compare it to "The report was promptly prepared and delivered." Although the second one told you something, many more questions were left unanswered. Knowing your boss: Get to understand your boss' personality and when to approach him or her. If your boss is a morning person, be sure that you come up with your suggestions and proposals in the morning while he is most receptive. Volunteering: While being careful not to overdo it, volunteer for special projects and responsibilities outside of your working hours and job description. Expressing gratitude: Develop the habit of sending brief notes of thanks to anyone who has made your day easier. Positively speaking: Look for positive things to say about people, especially your co-workers. Being approachable: Make yourself approachable. Let people know when and how to reach you. Following-up: After a task-assigning meeting, follow-up immediately on those assignments that were given to you. Spotting trends: Learn to spot trends that affect your company or agency. Be the first person to alert those in a position to capitalize on them. Presenting effectively: Be certain that you speak clearly and precisely when making presentations. Speak with confidence and admit honestly when you don't know, but promise to return with an answer promptly. Reading the trades: Determine which publications top management is reading, then get a copy of them so that you, too, can become knowledgeable of relevant matters. Making contact: Establish a contact person in all your referral sources. Make it a point to meet with that person so that you can get to know each other. It will help make your future contacts easier for both of you. Remembering your manners: Never forget to be polite or to follow the proper protocol. It lets people know that you mean business, that you take your business relationships seriously. Put these fifteen ideas into practice, and I guarantee you that you will see yourself progressing faster and farther than you think. Remember: When you maximize your potential, everyone wins. When you don't, we all lose. Etienne A. Anyone in the world By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dr._W._John_Martin,_M.D.,_Ph.D.] Dr. W. John Martin, M.D., Ph.D. Summary Complex intracellular inclusions were identified in brain cells of patients with non-inflammatory stealth virus encephalopathy. The cells showed extensive disruption of mitochondria leading to the suggestion that the inclusions were providing an alternative (non-mitochondria) source of cellular energy. Pigmented intracellular inclusions and extra-cellular materials were similarly identified in stealth virus cultures. A characteristic feature of these cultures is the progressive lessening of the cytopathic (cell damaging) effect that coincides with, and is dependent upon, the accumulation of these pigmented materials. Tissue culture and direct patient derived materials exhibit various qualities consistent with their functioning as energy transducers. Specifically, they are composed of conglomerates of finer particles that can display fluorescent, electrostatic, sound resonating and variable magnetic activities. Individual particles contain various combinations of different minerals. They can act as both electron donors and electron acceptors in redox reactions and can also generate gas bubbles from water. The viability of cells in cultures containing alternative cellular energy pigments (ACE-pigments) can be influenced by exposure to external electromagnetic, magnetic and sound frequencies that have no discernable effects on normal cell cultures. Enhanced cell growth and survival occurs upon exposure to relatively low intensities, while cell destruction occurs at higher intensity external energy exposure. Various natural products show ACE-pigment like activities, including a capacity of protecting cell cultures from the cytopathic effect of stealth viruses. These products are suitable for double blind clinical studies. Introduction Plants and certain bacteria derive energy in the form of sunlight to covalently link hydrogen and carbon atoms to form carbohydrates. This photosynthetic process is mediated by chlorophyll molecules that can specifically absorb photons corresponding to the blue and red components of sunlight. The photons elevate the energy levels of particular electrons within the chlorophyll molecules that can then be used in an electron donating (reducing) reaction between carbon dioxide and water to yield carbohydrates, such as glucose. Electrons can subsequently be withdrawn from carbohydrates in the form of chemical energy for synthesis of other types of life sustaining organic molecules and for the generation heat. Protons typically accompany electrons in electron donating (reduction) and electron capturing (oxidation) reactions. The term oxidation is used since oxygen plays a major role as an electron acceptor to form water. Chlorophyll utilizes only a minor fraction of the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Not only does this seem rather inefficient but the question can also be asked what was the energy used to synthesize the original chlorophyll molecules. Energy could conceivably be derived from other parts of the electromagnetic spectrum and/or from other less well understood forms of energy. Viruses can cause cell damage by various mechanisms including simple competition for the metabolic resources available to the cell. I have defined a grouping of cytopathic (cell damaging) viruses, termed stealth viruses, that fail to evoke an immune mediated inflammatory reaction (please refer to www.s3support.com for a complete list of publications). The best characterized stealth virus originated from the cytomegalovirus of African green monkeys. The virus was isolated from a patient with the chronic fatigue syndrome, with a similar but not identical virus isolated from a patient with a manic depressive, bi-polar illness. The virus induces a severe acute disease in cats followed by considerable clinical recovery in spite on an absent inflammatory response. Similarly, the cytopathic effect in tissue culture tends to abate over time, especially in infrequently fed cultures. The mechanism of this striking recovery process is attributed to materials that accumulate in tissue culture supernatants since reactivation occurs upon replacing the tissue culture medium with fresh medium. Reactivation can be prevented by including supernatant materials from repaired cultures into the re-feeding medium. Unusual intracellular and extra-cellular materials were previously noted in the brains of stealth virus inoculated cats and in the brain biopsies of various patients with stealth virus encephalopathy. They were periodic acid Schiff (PAS) positive and also readily seen using the cationic Stains-all dye. Irregularly shaped inclusions were also noted on electron microscopy of both animal and human brain biopsies. The highly ordered complex structures of some of these inclusions suggested that they were fulfilling some cellular function. Given the marked disruption of the cells' mitochondria, it seemed reasonable to postulate that the inclusions may be providing an alternative (non-mitochondria) energy source. The following data support such a conclusion. Complex Inclusions in a Brain Biopsy from a Stealth Virus Infected Child The child's illness evolved over seven months from what was initially considered to be a conduct and attention deficit disorder to an apparent neurological disease. In spite of markedly abnormal magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), his early neurological examination was essentially normal. A brain biopsy showed lipid accumulation within glial cells without accompanying inflammation, and was considered non-diagnostic by the attending and referral neuropathologists. After extensive clinical reviews in major medical centers, a second brain biopsy was performed at Stanford University , this time with sections prepared for electron microscopy. Apart form the lipid vacuolization and mitochondria damage, the attending neuropathologist failed to report on any of the inclusions shown in Figures 1-8 of the article posted on the s3support.com web site. Pigmented Particles, Threads and Ribbon-like Structures in Stealth Virus Cultures Representative photographs of the cytopathic effect occurring in stealth virus cultures are also available on the web site. The repair and reactivation processes are illustrated in Figures 1 and 2 of the published article "Stealth virus culture pigments: a potential source of cellular energy." Exp Mol Pathol. 2003: 74:210-23 . Many of the cell clusters become pigmented and the pigmented material can coalesce into discrete particles, some of which are extruded into the tissue culture medium. Various threads and ribbon-like structures can also develop in stealth virus cultures. They can show intricate patterning and can exist as either hollow tubes or flat bands. Both by scanning electron microscopy and auto-fluorescence microscopy, the particles can be seen as conglomerates of finer particles. The tread and ribbon-like structures are also auto-fluorescent with wide excitation and emission spectra. The particles can occasionally show magnetic activity which is characterized by a degree of variability in sensitivity and responsiveness that is not seen with inorganic metallic objects. Electron dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis shows that the particles contain various minerals with individual particles displaying quite distinctive patterns of mineral composition. The particles can show both electron donating (reducing) and electron accepting (oxidizing) reactions. The former is readily demonstrated using the chromogen MTT as an electron acceptor. It can also occur with reagents such as iodine in alcohol. Oxidation is seen with the appearance of calcium oxalate crystals following the addition of ascorbic acid to medium containing ACE pigments. The particles can also generate gas bubbles when placed in water. A remarkable feature is the variability seen over time with many of these properties. The particles appear to exist in both a "charged" and a "discharged" state. Individual particles will also commonly resonate when exposed to wide band sound frequencies. Using a sound generator, each particle will commonly exhibit a rather narrow range of movement activating frequencies. Externally applied electromagnetic, fixed and pulsating magnetic energies, and sound waves can show effects on isolated ACE-pigments and on the viability of stealth virus cultures. It is easier to demonstrate cell destructive effects using light, X-ray and magnetic energies, but low intensity energy exposures have clearly benefited some cultures. Both sound and magnetic energies can induce considerable movement of freely floating cell clusters. ACE Pigments Derived from Stealth Virus Infected Patients. Similar mineral containing particles have been found in dried perspiration from stealth virus infected patients. They can exhibit rapidly reversible electrostatic properties suggesting internal movements of electrical charge. They are auto-fluorescent and can be both reducing (electron donating) and oxidizing (electron accepting). They can also generate gas bubbles from water. Erratic movements of the particles in liquid suspensions may account for what earlier investigators have termed pleomorphic microorganisms. The occasional transformation of the particles into thread-like forms is also consistent with the mistaken belief that the supposed bacteria could transform into fungal forms. It is likely that ACE pigments are also responsible for so called delusional parasitosis or Ekbom's syndrome experienced by occasional patients with severe psychiatric illness. They may also explain mistaken reports of head lice in stealth virus infected patients. Natural Products and Subtle Energies An assay for the electron shuttling activity of ACE-pigments has been developed and applied to a number of natural products, including a Japanese plant extract and a material designated Enercell. Interesting patterns develop during these reactions that appear to be subject to environmental influences. These reactions are currently being used as a potential sensor for non-conventional forms of energy that may influence their physical and/or chemical properties. Other highly energized natural products can contain microscopic energy rich particles that show remarkable motility and that could easily be mistaken for bacteria. Although not as well characterized as electromagnetic radiation, most physicists realize that other radiating forms of energy do exist. Included in this category are so called dark energy, phonons, biophotons (chi, orgone) and what is variously referred to as the ether, subtle energy, or zero-point energy. Understanding the potential reciprocal interactions of living organisms and the ether is rendered difficult because of the lack of suitable detection methods. The restricted patterns of the minerals in individual ACE pigment particles suggested the existence of selective mineral affinity forces that favor the attraction of like substances. Minerals have mainly been studied in inorganic forms. Increasingly, it appears that minerals can exhibit quite different properties when either single atoms or small microclusters. Minerals can also behave differently when incorporated into organic and even silica based complex molecular lattices. The concepts of orbitally-rearranged monoatomic element ( ORME ), molecular energy transduction with superconducting coherent energy emissions, and gravity defying elements, have been proposed to explain some of the unique features of these altered states of mineral existence. The field of biophysics is currently addressing the potential harmonization of energy patterns within living organisms and even between organisms separated by considerable distances. The experience of various healers would also suggest that conscious thought may be able to alter these harmonizing energy patterns. Clinical and Agricultural Studies Given their strong activity in the electron transferring assay system and testimonial evidence for efficacy in various disease states, a number of these natural products have been selected for detailed double blind, placebo controlled studies. Subjects with illnesses potentially attributable to stealth virus infections, and subjects who manifestly are lacking in energy production would be selected. Among the latter group plans are underway to test patients with various wasting syndromes (including cancer cachexia), children with severe diarrhea and asphyxiated newborn infants. Studies on both experimental and livestock animals can similarly be performed. An advantage of the energy based approach to therapy is that it removes the focus away from using products as a means of enhancing the immune system. The new approach allows for a two way extension of studies to be conducted in an agricultural setting. Thus many products destined for evaluation in human and animal studies can be objectively assessed for their growth enhancement of various plants and crops. Conversely, natural materials that promote the quality of agricultural products may find usefulness in both animals and humans. Co-ordination of Effort It would be desirable to have an organizational structure that would encourage open communication among individuals contributing products, performing efficacy assessments and conducting basic research. Sound financial management and good public relations are also essential. The Government, Industry and Major Academic Institutions have, unfortunately, tended to put money-driven self interests above that of the public. A fledgling non-profit organization termed S3Support has been joined by an Applied BioPhysics Foundation to form the Progressive University and BioPhysics Institute. Its primary goal is to develop and promote a nationwide endeavor to more rapidly bring the enormous benefits of energy based clinical and agricultural science to mankind. This effort can be assisted by increasing the membership of health care providers, farmers, researchers, administrators, public spokespersons, patients and their family members, etc., in the Applied BioPhysics Foundation. Dr. W. John Martin is considered by many of his peers to be the worlds foremost leading Pathologist, and research scientist in his field. He's coined the new term, "Enerceuticals," referencing the energy enhancing solutions for living cells. Anyone in the world By Foras Aje Getting right to the point, recognizing the symptoms of depression as a step for depression treatment may perhaps be the first move to make. Like any other illness, depression is a disorder that starts little but left unattended to can increase in intensity. Thus all efforts should be made to attend to the symptoms of depression and for best results; this should be in its beginning stages. Now, the symptoms of depression may be caused or aggravated by other diseases, stress, use of drugs, improper diet, Loss of a job or loved ones. Friends, as stated above, the best time to deal with depression is in its beginning stages. Thus, in order to not allow depression to take over your present situation and consequently hinder you from overcoming it, below are its symptoms in no specific order. 1. Irritability and mood swings. 2. Hopelessness and extreme pessimism (a negative outlook on life) 3. Loss of energy, extreme fatigue and tiredness. 4. Loss of interest in hobbies, having a good appearance and even associates and loved ones. 5. Extreme feelings of helplessness and no self worth. 6. Suicidal thoughts (in extreme cases) 7. Insomnia (lack of) or excessive sleep. 8. Inexplicable weight loss or gain thereof, triggered by eating disorders. If you happen to experience any of these symptoms, the first step, in my opinion and based on research will be to look within and ask why this may be occurring. If you go over the problem carefully, you would be able to target the cause and consequently solve it. Remember, the mind is the most powerful force on the earth, He who can control it can control all things my friend. With a drug-free approach of Positive Thinking, a carefully selected diet (yes, it matters friend) and some form of physical exercise-my personal recommendation being Yoga-you can tackle the symptoms of depression at any stage and empower yourself to lead a healthier and happier life. Other things you can add to these three limbs are to take time to relax more, Seek out the company of those you know make you laugh. Remember, start early in your battle to coping depression and its many symptoms so you can come out victorious. Beat the Symptoms of Your depression starting today. Anyone in the world By Dave Thomas When it comes to your first date, you want everything to go smoothly and according to plan. Here are some top tips to make sure you both have a great time! Tip 1: You could do the typical thing, and have a meal in a restaurant for your first date. However, if you do that, and later you find out that can't stand your date, you will have to wait until the end of the meal before you can make a graceful departure, and that may be a couple of hours away! Besides which, it can be expensive, and remember that you have to tip! Instead, consider choosing a coffee date at a Starbucks or similar coffee cafe. It won't last long, and if you find you don't get on with your date, it won't be long before you can find the door. Tip 2: Why not do something more adventurous on a first date? A fun activity like ten-pin bowling or a visit to a theme park is far more likely to be enjoyed by both of you than a cup of coffee, and even if you don't like each other, you should enjoy the activity! Do try to look for something that you'll both enjoy, though. Ice skating may be fine if you're both keen to do it, and have about the same level of skill; otherwise, give it a miss. Tip 3: If you must do the typical dinner-date for your first date, at least try not to make it somewhere really expensive, where you'll be frowned at by snooty waiters for any little slip that you make. It should be obvious that you should also not go for a meal at a cheap fast-food restaurant! Try to go for somewhere cosy and comfortable. You only need somewhere that's priced at around the 10/US$20 per head mark. You could even go to a pub; there are plenty of inns that have a very cosy, intimate atmosphere, and you can get some nice, cheap meals at these places for about half the price of a restaurant meal. Tip 4: Your choice of clothing for your first date should be in-keeping with the activity you intend to do. Within the bounds of being appropriate, try to dress reasonably smartly, and be well-groomed and washed. Clothing is more important for men; affluent dress will certainly impress. For women, make-up is more important; men don't know a great deal about clothes, especially ladies' clothes, and as long as what you wear looks good superficially, that is all you need to worry about, except of course, don't dress too provocatively unless you're looking for action. Tip 5: Don't do something that you are not both comfortable doing! If you do something just to please him/her on your first date, you won't enjoy it. This will come across in your body language, if nothing else. You'll be very bored! Tip 6: Do something that will involve the two of you talking, at least for some of the time. A visit to the cinema is no good at all; a theatre visit could work out, because there's an intermission. For a first date, you want to get to know them! How are you going to do that, if you don't do any talking? David Thomas is a web publisher with a wide range of interests, including psychology and dating. Anyone in the world By Robin Reckard Nitrogen is vital to your lawn and is one of the most popular fertilizers. You need nitrogen because chlorophyll depends on it as do other proteins and amino acids. These in turn are what makes your lawn green and causes it to grow well. Some things to look for to see if your grass has a nitrogen deficiency are; if it turns yellow despite watering, the grass doesn't grow quickly, diseases are present in your lawn, or if the grass turf starts getting thinner. Depending on the time of year, your budget, and the climate there are three basic types of nitrogen used in fertilizers that are popular to apply. 1. You will find isobutyledenedinurea (IBDU) which decomposes slowly and will feed your grass over a longer period of time. It will often take a couple of weeks to decompose enough for you to see it's effects on your lawn. This is the most expensive form of nitrogen fertilizer because of the way it is manufactures and it's uniformity. It's uniformity also makes it very easy to apply. 2. There is also sulfur-coated urea. It depends on how thick the sulfur coating is to determine how quickly it will dissolve and feed your plants. S.C.U. will release quicker when the temperature is hotter, the lawn is wetter, or if the grass is healthier. 3. The last one I am going to mention is urea, a fairly inexpensive nitrogen. It is the cheapest nitrogen to produce as well as the fastest acting. You can often see results over night, it is that fast. But it gets depleted quickly and if you over apply it you can easily burn your yard up and kill your grass. So the next time you go shopping for fertilizers with nitrogen check the labels and ask lots of questions. Anyone in the world By Emil Swift My wife had a vision recently of a string of pearls, adorning a bride
at her wedding. The "pearls" were the pastors in a given region. Not all
the pastors, but those who are allowing the Lord to "string them
together" in unity. In the vision, she saw these pearls were "double-
knotted" -- that's where each pearl on a necklace is knotted on both
sides so if the string ever breaks, pearls don't slide off to be lost... At most,
only the one pearl where the string breaks may be lost. Interpretation: Pastors are the "Pearls"! The pastors are vital to your
region, and must be upheld at all costs. These "pastor pearls" are
spiritual gates, as in Rev. 21:21 "The 12 gates were 12 pearls, each gate made
of a single pearl..." There are 12 gates/pearls because there are 12 Apostles. That
doesn't mean there are only 12 "pastors" in your region in unity, nor
does it mean that these are "five-fold apostles" either. That these gates/
pearls are the Twelve Apostles, points to our pastors as ministers of God's spiritual
authority over your region... Not "apostles" who inappropriately
"control" the lives of others, but as spiritual authority maintaining and
extending the Victory over the principalities and powers in your region. Also, these "pastor pearls" are "gates" into
the Presence of God for your region. Now, everyone knows a pearl isn't the size of
one of Heaven's "gates" and if it were, no person could walk through one
because they're quite solid. But this Heavenly "pearl" represents that
Suffering which Releases God's Mercy -- and every pastor who is led by the
Spirit of God, is a "suffering servant" through whom God's "
mercy" is released into the lives of God's children. Through honoring our
pastors, every Child of God who desires a greater release into the Life and Presence
of Christ can find it through the shepherd God has given to each of us. Knots help keep the pastors lifted up into the places God has put
them. The "knots" are "tied" by the prayers and intercessions
of the saints...but the "knots" are not the prayers themselves. The "knots" are
"Honor". Believers who intercede for
their pastors bring honor both to God and to these servants who have suffered for
the sake of bringing Christ to your region. As Believers continue to pray for their
pastors, they fulfill the role of Aaron and Hur who honored the God of Moses by
upholding Moses' authority (his staff, held in his hands -- Ex. 17.12.) A necklace adorning the Bride! The bride in the vision is the "Bride of
Christ"! The unity of the pearls, each held in place in honor by the Believers, is
part of the Preparation of the Bride in your region! The Prophetic Promise The vision is that of a string of pearls, strung together and each one
double-knotted. The Lord is setting before us a strategic opportunity (Gk.
topos) -- a koinonia (a project "co-owned" by all
who participate.) This is an opportunity to not only press into the Unity of Christ,
but for Believers to uphold their pastors in power and authority and thereby release
the Preparation of the Bride of Christ throughout this Age! "KingdomScribes" is a ministry led by Emil and Michele Swift. Their newsletter can

Anyone in the world By Nancy Wasson Do you hope every day that your spouse will change in some way? That he (or she) will finally see the light and recognize the error of his ways? Theres nothing wrong with wanting a spouse to change as long as you dont stop there. If you dont take the next step, at some point youll start to feel helplessly dependent on your spouses choices and will be in danger of adopting a victim mentality. Many spouses dont know the secret of how to change a marital relationship into something different than it is currently. The temptation is to view change as rooted in the other person or out there somewhere outside of your control. But, in reality, the ability to create change lies within you. You may have heard the saying, Change is an inside job. Its true. And when you change yourself, then your relationship with your spouse, family members, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and acquaintances will also change. This past week, I received an email from a woman Ill call Annie. Annie was writing to tell me how much help she had received from the Keep Your Marriage book and bonus materials. I could tell from reading Annies email that she really understood the impact that making personal changes can have on a marriage. Annie has granted her permission for me to share her email with you in hopes that it will provide help and inspiration. Here is an excerpt from her email: My husband moved out saying he was unhappy but would say no more. I have spent the past few months in hell, but your advice gave me something to work on. I have now changed myself, my friends have noticed a big difference in me, and on New Years Eve, my husband, unprompted, told me he loved me. His leaving was a huge wakeup call for me, and although we still have things to work through, the important thing is that we are together. I will continue to eliminate those 21 marriage busters (I cringed when I realized I was guilty of every single one) and I have every hope that we will be celebrating many more wedding anniversaries. Thank you again, and keep the daily email tips comingthey serve as a reminder that one can never take anything for granted, that love is precious and should be cherished, and that the key to changing your life lies not out there but within. Annie gets it that the secret to changing your marriage and your life lies within yourself. She made changes in herself that eventually made a difference in her marriage. In a follow-up email, Annie writes: ...the important thing is to keep trying and dont give in...Im also now a great believer in time...often the effects of the words I said to my husband werent immediate, but given a little time they would sink in and they worked. Before I was the kind of person to demand answers and refuse to accept I dont know as valid. I would pick and chisel away until I thought I had the answer I wanted. I was chiseling away my marriage. There are still improvement to be made, but I have come to believe in this day and age we see films, advertising, etc. and are made to believe we should have this ideal of a marriage, and if its not like that then there is something wrong. They fail to mention that happy marriages take effort and work, that love isnt always automatic but is an affirmation that should be made every day. Id also like to add, before I go, that your advice has helped in other relationships toowith family and friends. Ive become a much nicer person and a happier one too. Its so true that you change the world about you by changing yourself. If I hadnt taken your advice I could be facing a divorce right nowinstead Im starting the New Year with a loving husband and a happy lifethank you again. Annie deserves the credit and kudos for putting consistent, hard work into working on herself. Many spouses read words of advice suggesting changes they can make, but they never implement the changes. Annie resisted the temptation to blame her husband or sit back passively waiting for him to change. Instead, she chose to focus on putting energy and effort into improving herself and making needed changes. By doing so, she created a win-win situation for herself and for her marriage. Now that you know Annies secret to changing her marriage, what are you going to do with this knowledge? If your marriage is going to be substantially different at the end of this calendar year, its time to get moving. Nancy J.
