Choosing The Appropriate Tree For Your Garden
by maurice pye - Thursday, 24 January 2008, 03:52 AM
Anyone in the world
By Tim Hallinan Before planting new tree assess both your needs and the existing conditions of your site. Trees, like all garden plants, have specific light and soil requirements which can influence its health. Trees also have specific space requirements. Some trees spread wide and need a lot of space, such as the beech, while others, such as the birch, grow tall and narrow. Unlike other garden plants, however, trees tend to be permanent features in the landscape so proper placement is critical. Assess your gardens needs. Does your garden need shade or color? How much space do you have? Trees need a lot of room as they mature. Trees that are 10 at the nursery can easily reach 20 in a matter of years and may reach 50 or more at maturity. Improperly sited trees and shrubs are a common mistake among gardeners. Trees planted to close to a house or garden path may require frequent pruning, resulting in awkwardly shaped trees. In many instances, transplanting becomes necessary resulting in more work than originally planned. If you want to create a shady spot in the garden, figure out how much shade you want. Trees such as the thornless honey locust and the river birch provide dappled shade and create comfortable outdoor gathering spaces. For creating deeper shade, large trees with dense foliage such as the beech and maple are useful. Deciduous trees, those which loose their leaves in the fall, create shade in the summer but allow sunlight through in the winter. These trees are effective when used to increas energy efficiency. Planted to shade a house from the summer sum, trees have a cooling effect, in the winter, trees without their leaves allow the sun to heat the home. Trees can serve as wonderful focal points in the landscape. In a field, a sugar maple can stand alone in the landscape a have a stunning effect. Large trees with interesting form and year-round interest are suitable as a focal point or a specimen plant. Trees can also be effective when used to frame views, garden art and vistas. Flowering ornamental trees, such as the flowering crabapple, cherry and magnolia, provide stunning blooms in the spring. These ornamental trees are generally smaller so they can be used in any size garden and closer to structures. As an accent in the smaller garden, ornamental trees can provide the garden with some shade and add character to the landscape. For example, the dogwood begins the season with showy flowers and red fruit. After the dogwoods colorful fall foliage falls to the ground its bark which flakes with age becomes exposed providing the garden with interest through the winter. A more exotic choice would be the Japanese maple. Its striking, sculptural form and red foliage make the Japanese maple a year-round joy. The birch trees beautiful form is a year-round feature but is most noticeable in the winter after it sheds its brilliant autumn foliage. All deciduous trees change color in the fall; some, however, are treasured more than others for their autumn foliage. The sugar maple, red maple, tupelo and sumac all have brilliant fall color. Dont overlook features such as a plants form, colorful berries and interesting bark. It is these features which are treasured through the winter months. Berry producing plants also provide wildlife with food. Both the birch and aforementioned Japanese maple, have beautiful forms and are year-round features. Choosing the appropriate tree for your garden requires some planning. Trees can be difficult to transplant so planting the right tree in the right location is critical. With some initial planning, trees which are appropriately located and planted, can last a lifetime with little or no maintenance. T Hallinan is a landscape designer and builder in Massachusetts. The Cost of Getting Married
by maurice pye - Wednesday, 23 January 2008, 01:58 AM
Anyone in the world
By Emily Tanner Did you know that getting married can now set the average couple back 16,000!? Are you in the midst of planning your wedding? Maybe you are on a tight budget and want to keep the cost down? Planning a wedding is hard work and paying for it is even harder! It may be worth finding out whether you can enlist the help of others in your big day so that the cost can be spread. So, who should pay for what? Well, traditionally the brides father should bear the costs for the following:- stationery, photographer, insurance, overnight costs for close family, bridal gown and bridesmaid outfits, page boy outfits, his own suit and an outfit for the Mother of the Bride, wedding cake, all reception costs, transport for the bridal party, bouquets and button holes and a wedding present for the happy couple. Poor Dad! The Grooms Parents on the other hand, have to absorb the costs of their outfits and a present for the Bride and Groom. Now that just doesnt sound fair to me. Now the bride herself should pay for the grooms ring, the hen party, hairdresser, beauty appointments, going away outfit and a present for the groom. And, the groom is expected to pay for the brides ring, stag do, male bridal party outfits, church or civil fees, bridal party gifts, transport for himself, wedding night venue and the honeymoon. Together, the bride and groom should pay for gifts for their mothers and fathers. The best way to plan and subsequently pay for a wedding, is to involve all the immediate family and try to share the cost as equally as possible. If everyone feels involved, it lessens the cost for one individual and ensures everyone has a role in the big day. If They Would Only Do It My Way
by maurice pye - Monday, 21 January 2008, 09:03 AM
Anyone in the world
By Pegine Echevarria You have the perfect plan, you know how it will play out, everyone has a role and the outcome is assured. Then one or all of the people, or the characters in your play, don't follow your script and you don't get what you want in the way you want it. This occurs all the time in families, offices, business deals, friendships and teams. You, the director, KNOW how it should go if only everyone would do it YOUR way. People use a variety of tactics to convince others to do things their way. Guilt, rewards, punishments, praise, begging, and so on. Everything works sometimes, and you convince yourself that you have 'the power' to have people follow your plan and your script, except when your actors don't follow your plan, then the director (you) gets angry, frustrated, stressed, and lonely. Sometimes a director may tell himself that he isn't good enough, that he doesn't don't know what he is doing, that he is a failure. He takes personal responsibility for the outcome by inflicting emotional pain on himself. Other times a director may blame everyone else. She may say that everyone else is the cause of the problem. She had nothing to do with it. She had the perfect plan. Her plan was the best and if only everyone followed her way than there wouldn't be a problem. Sometimes you may be treated as the actor in someone else's play. If you didn't agree to be a participant you may find yourself feeling resentful, put upon, victimized, threatened, and rebellious. Your behavior may be passive aggressive (smiling on the outside but sabotaging the production with your attitude or actions). As leaders, managers, parents and team members it is important to realize that 1- everyone has a choice, 2- everyone has their own plan, 3- everyone is the director of their own perception of the world. The clash occurs when you expect everyone to follow your directions/orders/demands and they don't see the benefits or rational behind it or the "what is in it for me" factor. We humans are self-centered, it is how we are. We have to decide to 'think' of others and not be so engrossed in our selves and our own affairs, easier said then done. How can we get out of our self-centeredness and be better managers, leaders and parents? This is what this article is all about. Quotes "When I get out of 'me' and find 'we' I become more successful" "The one important thing I have learned over the years is the difference between taking one's work seriously and taking one's self seriously. The first is imperative and the second is disastrous". ~Margot Fonteyn Self-interest is the enemy of all true affection. ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt "It's hard to follow God closely when your eyes are focused on everyone else around you." ~Unknown "When an organism begins to become self-centered, taking only in regard to its own needs and ignoring those of its neighbor, we call it cancer." ~Ra Bonawitz "Selfishness is not living as one wishes to live, it is asking others to live as one wishes to live." ~Oscar Wilde Try-its: To eradicate ourselves of self centeredness we have to first accept what we are powerless over: 1. Write a list of at least 25 people, places, things and situations that you are powerless over. 2. Review your list 3. Let the people, places, things and situations go. If you belong to a religious group give your list to your God and let him handle the list for you. For instance, I have no control of the situation when my son drives his car. He is 19. I'm not in the car with him. I can't navigate the road for him. I can't push cars out of the way if someone gets distracted and sways into his lane. I've handed that situation to a higher being, I know others who have faith knowing that all is well and let it go. I do not have control over my clients. I'm not sitting in their offices 24/7 guiding their decisions. I've given all the information I can for them to make a decision. Ultimately it is their decision based on all the information that they know (and I don't). I have to let it go. Kick-butt actions: Here are some questions to ask yourself when you find yourself trying to direct uncooperative people: How important is it REALLY to have the person do this task? What are the rewards and consequences for the person? (Be clear and communicate those) Can you, and more importantly, will you follow through on the rewards and consequences? If not, don't talk about them. If you don t follow through you will sabotage yourself by losing credibility. Are there actions you want them to do OR do you want a specific outcome and the action doesn't really matter. If friction arises be prepared to ask yourself: What role did you play in this? What was your responsibility? What can you do to make this situation right? Do you need to apologize for your self centeredness or human frailty? What will you do differently next time? Remember we are all just players (actors) in this theatre of life. As a director/leader your job is to: Inspire Educate Coach Correct Celebrate Speak specifically regarding expectations and accountably. If you do not have these conversations and chaos and friction will be the result. Taking control and being in control are two different sides of the same coin. One is the beginnings of leadership the other can lead to the illusion that you ARE in control of people, places things and situations. Ultimately you are only in control of your own actions, thoughts, behaviors. So are you a director creating chaos or a leader inspiring a team effort? Use Properly Applied Mascara To Enhance The Natural Beauty Of Your Eyes
by maurice pye - Sunday, 20 January 2008, 09:24 AM
Anyone in the world
By Gregg Hall The eyes have long been referred to as the windows to the soul. When people meet for the first time one of the first things they look to are the eyes. Knowing the attention your eyes receive mascara is a great way to keep them looking beautiful and appealing. Mascara is a form of makeup made especially for applying to your eyelashes. The point of mascara is to enhance the beauty of the eyes by making them look more open and accentuating your lashes. Mascara is an inexpensive way to add to your natural beauty and since it is inexpensive easy to have on hand. There is however a couple of important health issues related to the use of mascara. First it is important to only apply mascara while in front of a mirror. People have been seen driving down the road while applying mascara, which is an obvious danger to them and others. You should never apply mascara in any type of moving vehicle, whether you are driving or not. The risk of permanent damage to your eye is great in a moving vehicle and not worth the risk. Another important safety issue in relation to wearing mascara is sharing mascara with another person. Although this may seem perfectly harmless activity it can actually cause great trouble. There are bacteria in your eyes, which are unique in every person; sharing mascara can cause transference of bacteria, which can lead to infection and illness. Viral conjunctivitis is also a common virus that is easily transferred from one person to another when sharing mascara. Therefore you should never share your mascara with anyone. Another important health and safety habit is to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before applying mascara so you do not introduce bacteria or infectious materials that may be fine on your hands but prove dangerous for your eyes. You need to replace your bottle of mascara every three months, sooner if the mascara is becoming especially sticky or full of clumps. This is due to the chemicals breaking down in the mascara after the three months. Applying mascara will draw attention to your eyes making them more crisp and clear looking by giving an illusion of a more open eye. Mascara is a great part of your daily makeup, even if you have no time to apply makeup, mascara alone will make you look awake and beautiful. Choosing what type and color of mascara is dependent on personal taste. For the most part there is little difference in quality between mascaras. There is also waterproof and regular mascara. If you tend to have problems with smearing your mascara you may want to try waterproof. In the same regard waterproof mascara is often difficult to remove. If you have a hard time taking off the mascara try switching to regular. Regardless of what type of mascara you try wearing it everyday will give more attention to your eyes. Depressed - Now What?
by maurice pye - Saturday, 19 January 2008, 11:21 AM
Anyone in the world

By Michael Pittman We all have our reasons to feel depressed from time to time. And all too often, we simply must give in to those feelings. Do you remember that time sitting on the couch, feeling totally empty, down, and awful? In this article, I'll give you a powerful tool to get out of that state, in an instant. Yes, you read that right: it doesn't take more than a few seconds to get rid of those depressive feelings - provided you want to! But since you are reading this, I assume you want to leave those feelings behind and get on with your life. So let's do it - now! You are not what you feel Did you notice something in the previous section? I never wrote you are depressed. Instead, I wrote you have feelings of depression. There is a reason for that. Why on earth would you want to associate yourself with a negative feeling? Like all negative feelings, depression is something you have or feel, not something you are! Do you see the difference? Actually, you might want to hear it, too. So let's do a little exercise: (Now, don't cheat! If you want to get out of your depressive state, simply do as I say. Or do you want to feel depressed? wink Say out loud: "I am depressed". Doesn't feel too great, doesn't it? I can almost see you in front of me: sitting with your head tilted, your shoulders hanging down... Not a pretty picture. Remember this feeling, however! Now let's say something different. Say out loud: "I feel depressed". No compare the feeling that you have now, to that earlier feeling. Feels different? Sure it does! Why? Well, by saying I feel instead of I am, you no longer make your feelings of depression part of who you are. You now put the feelings of depression outside of you, as opposed to inside of you. And that makes sense: why would you want to put such a negative emotion in such a prominent place? After all, you are much more than just your negative emotions, are you not? So let's agree on something, here. From now on, don't ever say I am depressed again. Instead, say I feel depressed. Okay? Great, let's continue. As promised, I'll show you how to get rid of that feeling. Up to the next part! The key reason So why do you feel depressed? The answer is actually pretty simple. You feel depressed because out of all the options you have, you can't decide which one to choose. That's right: the key reason for feelings of depression is not deciding. "Is it really that simple?", I can hear you ask. Yes, it is. Again, I'll show you. Answer this simple question within five seconds: "What is the most important thing to do right now?" (Again: take no more than five seconds to answer the question!) If you are feeling depressed, it is very likely that you didn't come up with the answer. Why not? It's not because your feelings of depression keep you from thinking clearly. The key reason is: You haven't decided what is the most important thing to do right now. That's right. As soon as you have decided what is the most important thing to do right now (this sets your goal), and have taken action (no matter how little) to get closer to that goal, you will feel better. A lot better. You are in Control! Since depression is not something you are, but rather something you feel, you can do something about it quickly. As you just saw, the key reason is not deciding what is the most important thing to do right now. As soon as you have decided and acted, you will feel a lot better. But it gets even cooler: even without doing anything you can improve the way you feel! Firstly, I bet that you don't feel as depressed right now as you did just minutes ago, when you started reading this article. The reason: you have changed your state. You did that by changing your focus from inside ("I am so depressed") to outside ("What is this guy talking about?")
State Changing is a very powerful tool. If you have children, you have probably used the State Changing technique more than once. (I know I did!) Imagine your son or daughter crying because something scared him or her. What do you do? You draw their attention to something entirely different, for instance by doing something that surprises them (making silly gestures, or pointing at something interesting), taking their focus away: from inside (themselves) to outside (you)! State Changing is so powerful that you can use it every time when you feel depressed. How to do it? Read on! Change how you feel - in an instant! There are several ways to change your state. You can use external influences (remember taking that chocolate when you felt down, or going for that extra-large burger just because you could use the comfort?), but you can also use your own resources. Here's a technique that I learned when I went through a time of great stress, causing me to feel depressed very frequently. As soon as you feel depressed (and notice it, actually!), look where your focus is. What are you seeing? What are you hearing? What are you feeling? With one hundred percent certainty, I can tell you that your focus will be inside: you are looking at pictures in your mind, hearing yourself talking to you, feeling your stomach hurt, etc. Now, we want to get out of that state. Do the following: MOVE! Stand up (if you are sitting). Or walk around (if you are standing). Look around. Look outside, for example, and notice what is going on there. Or look at the people around you and listen to them, or start a conversation, about anything. But keep your focus outside! I challenge you to practice this, often. Are you feeling depressed? Change your State immediately! Take action - Now! Now that you have a power tool to change your state whenever you want to (yes, you will notice that sometimes you don't want to get out of your depressive state - this is perfectly natural), use it to focus on what's outside of you. That's where all those choices are: outside of you. And the longer you wait deciding which is most important, the more (de)pressing those choices will become! So ACT NOW. Make a list of all the choices, problems, challenges that you face. Then, decide which is the most important one and immediately get working on the most important one. You will see that your feelings change: from problem-oriented (I have so much to do) to outcome-oriented (What should I do to get this done?) So, again: decide what is the most important thing to do. Then, start doing it. It's really that simple. Stay alert! I've put a lot on your plate in this article. However, the strategies I've discussed with you are very powerful. In a nutshell:

Depression is not something that is part of you. It is part of what you feel.
When you feel depressed, it is because you are focusing inside. Focus outside of yourself and you will feel better. Immediately. This is called State Changing.
You feel depressed because there are too many options, choices or problems for you to choose from. Pick the one that is most important to you and start working on it, immediately.

And finally: stay alert! As soon as you notice your depressive feelings coming back again, watch where your focus is! I bet you it is inside. By now, you know where it should be wink Michael Pittman is the man behind the succesful Ideas-Unlocked website. Article Submission Software Makes Thousands For Article Writers
by maurice pye - Wednesday, 16 January 2008, 09:49 AM
Anyone in the world
By Davion Wong Article submission software is a popular promotional tool in the toolbox of many successful authors and webmasters. It is also a tool that I use widely to make thousands every month. The same is true for other authors and webmasters. We will look at what article submission software can and cannot do and why you are missing out on huge profits and sign ups if you are not combining article submission with these software. Article submission is a process of article marketing. The entire article marketing process consists of a few components namely researching for keywords and content, writing an article and submitting that article. Article submission software cannot write articles on your behalf unfortunately. But they do a great job in submitting articles to free article directories. The best part is you need not cough out a single cent for the software to submit articles for you. This is a huge time and money saver. The software cost is the only cost ever. Manual article submission is slow and can take hours to days. It is simply not worth the time and energy when you can make better use of it working on your website or business. Submitting articles using paid services like iSnare and Phantom Writers is a great idea but can be costly especially for a small business. Hence, many are choosing article submission software to do the job. Another clear benefit of using article submission software is the neat formatting features most tools have. This makes it much easier to submit articles to article directories for acceptance. Article submission software makes it faster for you to post multiple articles within a week. This ensures you can set aside time to focus on article writing and churn out more articles for posting. More articles equal more exposure for your website and more sales and subscribers. At the same time, when your articles keep appearing within the directories in the same category, you can quickly establish yourself as an expert and build credibility. People start to recognize you as an authority figure in your subject and trust you enough to sign up for your newsletter or buy your recommended products. Since article submission software can post articles semi-automatically or automatically, you can set it and forget. It will work in the background quietly posting the articles while getting tons of high PageRank links from the article directories. This is the cheapest and in fact most free way to obtain one-way links. With Google talking a lot about Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI), articles relevant to your website topic would boost your website popularity and search engine rankings quickly. Article submission software as I have said cannot write articles for you but does a great job in quickening article submission. This frees your time to write more articles or build other parts of your business, establish you as an expert and pull up the rankings of your websites. Till date, it is still a preferred mode of website promotion for many webmasters. Find out at my article marketing blog on how you can make use of article submission software to charge up your web traffic and profits today. Davion is a successful webmaster and author. How Could Your Hobby be the Key to Financial Success?
by maurice pye - Tuesday, 15 January 2008, 09:54 AM
Anyone in the world
By Lauren Van Veen Virtually everyone has the knowledge they need to make a fortune. Everyone has an interest, hobby or has knowledge about a particular subject. It could be anything, and I really mean anything! From gardening to model planes, childcare, from dog training to sports, everyone has knowledge that someone else wants. The problem is that most people have no idea how much their knowledge is worth because information online is worth much more today. The internet has become a force to be reckoned with. This monster of mass consumerism is ever increasing and does not seem to be slowing down. U.S. consumers spent $748 million on online content (information) during the first half of 2003, representing a 23 per cent increase over the same period in 2002. With the rate that the internet is growing, just imagine what the figures look like today. Last year, Jupiter Research forecast that paid-content web revenues will grow four-fold by 2006, from $1.4 billion to $5.8 billion. The crazy thing is many people are only just waking up to this reality. Gone are the days when all websites offer their data free of charge, now the hottest information is reserved for those who pay! So if you have a hobby or interest you are the perfect candidate and I have two words for you subscription website. So what exactly is a subscription website? Well, it is a site that charges members a fee to enter the site and view the specialist content. And what do they all have in common? They are bringing in a steady, recurring cash flow for their owners, month after month, from a few hundred to tens of thousands of dollars with an endless array of topics. Having a successful paid membership site is one of the best ways to make money online. A thriving subscription site can give you the steady income of a chief executive . but without the work or stress levels! For example if you had just 200 people paying you just $20 a month, you would have a steady cash flow of $4000 / month, month after month, rain or shine. Many people achieve this in the first month or two that their site is up and running. However, thats just the tip of the iceberg. Many people have member only websites that produce 5 -10 times that amount of money! Choose the right topic and this could happen in your first 2-3 months. Let's be honest; a steady cash flow is the key to financial security which is why the website is so superior to any other form of online product; it can mean a regular monthly income and best of all, no 9 to 5! A subscription website is a combination of doing what you enjoy and sharing that knowledge with those who will truly appreciate it. The best subscription websites are run by those who have a passion for the subject matter they are supplying. This is the most critical decision you'll have to make. Choose the right topic and you'll have people rushing to give you money to enter your site, you will have no problem up-dating the site with new information, and in turn the site will remain fresh and exciting. Find a topic that you are passionate about, and the odds are that enough other people are also passionate about the topic to make it a successful membership site. Since you are going to be spending time and effort building and maintaining your membership site, doesnt it make sense to choose a topic that you enjoy? But why would people want to pay for information when you can find pretty much anything at all on the net without any cost at all? Its simple, the search for the info you require can be long and tedious. People are really paying for convenience, they want up to date information and they want it now. They also want the information to be comprehensive and original, they want to know that they can come to the site and that a particular topic will be covered thoroughly, they will genuinely learn more about the topic they have an interest in. So why haven't more sites jumped onto the paid-content bandwagon? A big reason has been the popular misconception that consumers won't pay for content on the web. And where did this erroneous concept originate? From badly conducted research studies done by marketers and the media in recent years. Practically all of these surveys asked people who currently receive information and services on the web for free if they would pay for these services. Naturally, they gave the same response that anyone with any sense would give, which is: I don't want to pay for something that I currently get for free. What a surprise! The market is ripe and ready for those who catch on to this momentous idea. Exceptionally high perceived value is the ultimate key. The paid online content offered must be so useful that users will be thrilled to gain access to it, will say Wow! when they do, and will experience instant value for money the very first time that they use it. The best part is still to come! A subscription website can be run from home and once set up it pretty much runs itself. Software is available to run almost every element of your site automatically and membership software programs can reduce your workload by 75% that can only be good news! This funnel shows how the reader goes from browsing free content to being a paid subscriber. When a prospect enters a websites funnel of free content, they discover that to reach the most valuable content, they must cross the barrier to becoming a paid member. The process works so well because the customer has already become involved in the process of narrowing down the information that he wants, selecting something that's progressively closer to his desired information until, just before its in his grasp, he discovers that of course he has to become a paid member. Topic ideas for a Subscription Website: Newsletter Topics. If you already publish a successful newsletter, you are most likely a perfect candidate for a Membership Website. Placing your newsletter content, archives, and resources online in a 'subscribers only' website usually enhances the perceived value of your print newsletter to both current and potential subscribers. Career Advancement. Perhaps the most frequent topic for successful subscription websites is career development. This includes sites that provide advice, tips, how-to's, resource libraries, etc., about specific business skills or professions such as management, marketing, business start-up, financial services opening up a huge range of business opportunities. Successful career advancement sites usually focus on a very specific niche topics related to earning a living or bettering one's career or business skills. Personality based insider tips. A number of successful subscription websites are built around a well-known or respected person who provides subscribers with personal insights, tips, advice, information and opinions. In most cases, the person behind these sites has built a firm reputation and developed a following of people wanting access to the information this expert provides. Downloadable Product Library. One of the more interesting subscription website models is based entirely on providing subscribers with a large library of downloadable products, usually computer programs, scripts, PDF files, audios, videos, tutorials or other materials that can be delivered digitally. Hobbies / Leisure Activities or Collectors Sites. Concentrating on a particular and specific hobby or interest can be an excellent way to tap into a niche market. For example if your area of expertise is Carp Fishing this would be an excellent idea for a membership site, because it is a targeted market subject that will attract people with that specific interest, whereas the subject of fishing would be a massive area of expertise to cover in detail. Choosing A Merchant Account Provider
by maurice pye - Monday, 14 January 2008, 12:12 PM

By Joseph Thompson It is important that you conduct your due diligence before settling on one particular merchant account provider. The reasons are obvious. You certainly don't want to be stuck paying high monthly fees. Plus, I'm sure you wouldn't want to overpay on a processing solution. Don't let price be the only deciding factor though, we'll look at this in a minute. Never hurry through when trying to find a merchant account. If you move too fast you will surely miss on a really great deal. I can't stress this enough. Don't wait a week before opening your doors to customers to find a merchant account provider. Not only would you miss out on a good deal, but in some cases it can take up to a week to approve your application once its been submitted. Three main factors should be considered when choosing a merchant account provider (in no particular order): Integrity of the provider Price Customer Service We'll look at each determining factor, in detail, so you can get the scoop on what to look for. Integrity of the Merchant Account ProviderDon't automatically assume a provider is legitimate just by what they have posted on their website or conveyed to you over the telephone. The merchant account industry has a number of ruthless and greedy sales representatives who are more interested in themselves then helping you. Here are some red flags to watch out for and suggestions to test a providers integrity: Repeatedly getting an answering machine every time you call. Representative seems to give you the run around every time you ask them a question about rates or their agreement. If they use one of those free web hosting services for their website and/or a free domain name (i.e. www.xyz.com/user/4876/5thave/index.html) look the other way. If they can't afford a real domain name and website then they shouldn't be in business. Don't post all their rates and fess on their website. Scrutinize their merchant agreement, go over it with a fine tooth comb and question anything that appears "loose" or suspicious. You certainly don't want to get caught in a loophole. Make sure their website clearly shows what bank(s) they represent. It is unlawful for a merchant account provider not to show what banks they represent on their website. Visa and MasterCard cracks down hard on those who don't. Search Better Business Bureau, consumer reports, or online newsgroups for any unsatisfactory remarks made about the company. Top Notch Customer Service is Paramount Don't get carried away by great rates and forget about customer service. Customer service is king for long-term success and smooth transaction processing. You don't want to be plagued with busy signals and long hold times. Your time is precious and downtime will cost you money. Before signing up with a company, try out their customer service number. Give it a ring and ask them a few questions. Take note of their attitude, do they seem interested in wanting to help you? Are their answers fully-detailed, yet easy to understand? Some aspects that should be met for superior customer service: Reliable availability (and yes, even on holidays too, if possible. Definitely if your business operates 365 days a year.) Hold time 5 minutes or less Friendly, courteous representatives who are knowledgeable Toll-free number One last note before we move on, don't get conned by providers who say the reason they charge high rates is because of the superior customer support they give, that other companies don't. Sure, a slight price increase (most likely, never), but don't go overboard. Customer service is important, but shouldn't cost you hundreds more than with another provider. This type of scam is just so they can fill-up their pockets more. Information On Raw Juice Therapy

By Kevin Pederson When raw juices are unlocked from the cells of plants, pure and vital liquids of great healing power are released, and their infinitely gentle action can coax our bodies back to normality. Raw juices have none of the potentially dangerous side effects of many potent drugs, yet they can eliminate health problems arising from many of those deficiencies created by the bustle and pace of modern life. The regular addition of such juices to a wise diet is also a great strengthener of bodily function, assisting in the prevention of the premature degeneration of skin, flesh, glands and organs that causes so many who should be enjoying a long and active prime of life to lapse into early senility. For effective therapy you need to know which fresh vegetable and fruit juices are needed to benefit the body. We will try to explain the best for each condition, with the most important points of each therapy and the best ways of extracting the precious juices, both mechanically and by hand. Sunshine and good healthy soil enlivened with refreshing rain allow plants to develop to a rich maturity, and the raw juices they yield are the quintessence of nature's handiwork. Readily available and easy to digest, they contain a wealth of nutritional factors needed to supplement the diet. The ancient Romans knew this when they added honey, crushed or juiced fruits, aromatic plants and scented flowers to their drinks. When used swiftly after extraction, raw fruits and vegetable juices are an incomparably effective way of rapidly utilizing the powers of the plants to protect you from illness. The composition of juices is so complex that analytical procedures give only a part of the truth. In addition, it is not only the compositions of the individual juices which create their profound effects, it is the subtle natural balance between the constituent parts. On the face of it, juices do not seem likely to be very energizing, but, as experts point out, the calorie content of a litre (1pt) of grape or pineapple juice is between eight and nine hundred. To achieve the same you would need 1.5 litres (2 pt) of milk or a dozen eggs, 1. 4kg (3lb) of potatoes or 650 grams (1 lb) of meat. Apple juice contains 500 calories per litre; pear juice 420; cherry juice 450; orange juice 400; strawberry juice 220. The descriptions of plants and vegetables many times mention the wide variations found in their vitamin and mineral contents. What is sure is that storage and cooking are major factors in reducing what is present naturally. Therefore, raw fruits, vegetables and their juices are ideal ways to obtaining maximum nourishment. The therapeutic uses of juices require that all the factors that are normally present are consumed in sufficient quantities to be efficacious. It would be impossible for most people to consume the amount of raw cabbage needed to give the pint or two a day needed for the treatment of a gastric ulcer. But it is not difficult to take the cabbage in the form of juice. Remember, juices are never dangerous. But, some drugs are so dangerous that the side effects are almost as bad as the condition they are supposed to treat! Kevin Pederson has been managing a number of natural home remedies websites which have information on home based natural cures and remedies for some of the most common illnesses and some tips on raw juice therapy. Natural Hair Care Recipes That Add Volume And Strength To Your Hair

By Biljana Drake Natural hair care is what you need to turn to if your hair has been excessively dyes, bleached, or damaged in any way. Before you start making some of these natural hair care products, consider these hair care tips: Make sure you are using the right shampoo. Always get a shampoo that is suited for your hair type. A shampoo for dry hair might smell better, but it doesn't mean that it will fit your hair's needs. Change the shampoo often. Hair gets immune to a certain shampoo if the shampoo has been used for too long. Try a new one, see if you notice any changes. Apply the hair packs and balms once or twice a week. The more nourishment you provide, the more heathy the hair will be. Avoid using a hair dryer. It makes the hair brittle and dries the scalp out which may lead to dendruff. Trim your hair regularly. Remove the damaged ends. Combined with homemade hair conditioners that are prepared within minutes, the effects that you will get will be multiplied. Banana hair pack Ingredients: 1/2 banana 1 tablespoon of lemon juice 1 tablespoon of honey Mash until creamy. Hair has to be dry to do this. Leave it on your hair and wash out after 20 minutes. After that, use a shampoo. Milk based Hair Balm It is simple as this: after you wash your hair, wash it with some milk and leave on for about 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. It helps bring back the softness and natural shine. Sour Cream Hair Pack Ingredients: 2 teaspoons of sour-cream 1/2 teaspoon of wheat germ oil 1 tablespoon lemon juice Mix it all together, apply to hair and rinse off after 10-15 minutes. Olive oil for shiny hair Ingredients: 1 teaspoon of olive oil 1 egg Mix the two and apply on hair. Leave it on for about 10 minutes and wash off using warm water, then shampoo. Egg white for oily hair 1 egg white (more if your hair is thick or long). Beat the egg and simply apply on dry hair. Leave it on until it is dry and crusty. Wash off with warm water and shampoo. Doing this a couple of times a week will help reduce the oiliness and remove the excess oil. Hair pack for damaged hair Ingredients Juice from freshly squeezed lemon 2 egg yolks 1 egg white 1 tablespoon of honey. Mix all the ingredients, apply on hair and let it rest for 10 minutes. After that, shampoo and rinse off. For soft and silky hair Ingredients 3 tablespoons of olive oil 2 tablespoons of honey Mix it all well, apply on hair. Wrap the hair with a towel or shower cap and let it rest for 15 minutes. Shampoo and rinse the hair. Increase hair volume Ingredients 1 tablespoon of vinegar 1 tablespoon of honey 1/2 cup of warm water Spray bottle - pharmacy stores usually sell them for a couple of dollars, get a smaller one. Mix the ingredients in a bottle and shake well After you wash the hair with shampoo, let it dry a bit. When it is damp, spray the mix you have prepared. Massage the scalp so the liquid gets absorbed better Don't rinse the hair off, simply let it dry For shiny and soft hair Ingredients 1 tablespoon of coconut oil 3 tablespoons of sour cream Mix the ingredients and apply them on hair. Wrap a towel around it and let it rest for 30 minutes Shampoo and rinse off well Grease control There is a simple way to get rid of greasy hair. Every time you shampoo your hair, mix a little bit of freshly squeezed lemon juice in. Shake the bottle well (you could use a smaller bottle for this purpose) and shampoo the hair. Rinse off well. This way, you will control the oiliness of the scalp and also, if you have blondish hair, you will actually help keep it light longer.
