Anyone in the world By Kent Pinkerton Marriage is regarded as a spiritual as well as an intimate bond between two people. In other words, it is a relationship between two people with two separate sets of views and feelings. In contrast to unmarried people who may be cohabiting, divorced, or single, married people enjoy many benefits in the form of higher degree of happiness, better physical and mental health, and improved financial position. But, a marriage relationship becomes fruitful only when the husband and wife face all challenges together, whether it is personal challenges, problems regarding raising children, dealing with family members, financial problems, or other daily pressures of life. Good marriage relationships are generally marked by honesty. They are based on a foundation of agreement, made up of commitment, honor, love, moral ethics and sacrifice. When a couple steps into marriage, it is important to understand that both of them owe obligations of mutual understanding, care and fidelity to each other. Requisites for a healthy marriage life also include matching up of couple's ages, characters, lifestyles and views. In order to build lasting marriage relationships, it is important to observe effective communication, mutual trust, ability to overcome problems together, and giving each other the attention and respect that both deserve. It is advisable to spend some time with your spouse, either by doing exercise or taking leisurely walks together. It is also equally important to have sexual intimacy, as it can deepen marriage relationships. Above all, an ideal couple must have the ability to compromise on issues such as career, finance and children. Practices including date nights help to sustain an intimate bond between the two. To ensure healthy maintenance of marriage relationships, counseling programs or pre-marriage courses become relevant. At present, a lot of counseling firms provide special courses and programs for marriage help, love advice, relationship advice, relationship challenges, relationship counseling, relationship forums, relationship help, relationship problems and relationship skills. With the introduction of the Internet, online counseling has also become popular. Anyone in the world By Ted Burgess The headline above appeared in one of my national papers. It centres upon a 41-year-old US mother having sex with a 15-year-old male and, a 32-year-old female teacher engaging in the same with six of her male students. The following is a comment quote from some law enforcement officer ""It's a wild one, like a Desperate Housewife - this seems like a new troubling phenomena we're seeing across the country" While I don't want to be seen as condoning the above actions, let's face it, such relationships have occurred for years and in this day and age the very idea and inspirations for such actions are highlighted through films and television programs. In "Desperate Housewives" for example a certain attractive young housewife was forever in the sack with her young teenage neighbour cum gardener. Hey! Lets be fair, such examples must certainly be a temptation to the mind to take action. What about the young fellows involved? Lets be frank about it, millions of young pubescence males sit glued to their televisions lusting over the bodies of female entertainment celebrities many of whom are in the very age group (40's). Take a look at the beauties in "Sex In The City" and Hey Man! How many young teenage males wouldn't fancy a bed game with one of them. Pubescent males have always lusted after older women; I know I did years back. In this day and age however, when you look at the abundance healthy, fit, swishy looking older women, see them in micro and see-through bikinis and in many cases nude on the beach there is no way the young male can control his glands. Sorry, but the average 15 year old male of today is not the naive and un-knowledgeable youth of my day. He has been bought on television, playboy, hustler and porn movies. Films in my day were based on romance and courting the lady with respect while the films today are more like "Karma Sutra" visual instruction manuals. Today, the average 15 year old male has witnessed every nook and cranny of the female form and, having learnt what to do with it, it's only natural he wants to do it. Of course he has little idea how to treat the lady socially only on how to bed her. Lucky little sods. Now what about the women in this scenario? Her reward for a passionate involvement that reached her point of uncontrollable sexual arousal is a crippling fine or worse -jail term. In contrast I might ask, what about the tens of thousands, if not millions of men, who daily throughout the world have sex with young girls of age 15 or less, be they prostitutes or what ever. The only answer is to ban sex altogether. Oh my God! What a thought. Opinions of an observant older man. Anyone in the world By Scott Patterson Women and the signals they send us can be quite confusing. When talking to an attractive woman, a lot of men are left wondering if she's just being nice or if she is showing classic signs of flirting. Since many women tend to send men mixed signals, it can be quite hard to figure out if she is actually attracted to you. But there are a few basic signs of flirting that you'll see that show she's definitely interested in you. So when you're approaching and talking to a girl, try to figure out if you're seeing any of the following: 1- She will look directly at you Before you approach a woman, she will directly look at you and maintain prolonged eye contact. In addition, she'll smile right at you. 2- She will check you out Yes women check out guys. If see her look at your face then look lower she is definitely checking you out! When she looks at you, that means she has found something great about you and wants to see more. 3- She will look her best for you Once she knows you're looking at her, a woman will make a point look her best for you. This means preening her clothes and hair. A lot of this is subconscious, but will see signs of flirting which demonstrate she's trying to look her best for you. 4- She will open herself up to you After you approach a woman and strike up a conversation, she will display an "openness" with her body language. Her arms will be spread and her wrists will be turned towards you. 5- She will stroke herself When a woman is talking to you she might stroke her neck or touch her hair, perhaps even her thigh. These signs show that she's thinking about her sensitive areas and quite possibly what you could do to them. 6- She will draw closer One of the best signs of flirting is when she draws closer to you during your conversation. This shows a desire to create more intimacy when you're talking to her. A woman might even lower her voice to get you to draw in closer. 7- She will let her eyes wander all over your face The final flirting signal is when she moves her eyes back and forth between your eyes and mouth. This is one of the classic signs of flirting where she's thinking of you kissing her. So when you see this signal, don't hesitate. Start kissing her! Women give subtle signals to men that demonstrate that they're interested. If you take the time to look for the standard signs of flirting, you'll discover she is probably sending you a lot of signals which show she is attracted to you. Anyone in the world By Jim Muckle 1. Did you ever have any trouble getting paid on time, or were you ever cheated? No. I never had a problem with any of the schools for which I worked. The school in Saudi Arabia paid 4600 Riyals promptly at the end of each month. Though, the contract on the previous pages show my total at 4400, I received a 200 Riyal raise after I arrived in Saudi because I was able to verify another year of teaching experience. At that time 4600 Riyals was equivalent to about $1300. I received this in cash with no deductions. We did pay a small fee, 5 Riyals, about $1.50 for electricity for the apartment, and the principal asked us to contribute another 5 Riyals for the man who cleaned the steps in the apartment building. In Japan I was paid by check at the end of the month. The breakdown was as follows: Gross 180,000 Yen which equaled at the time $900. Taxes were 9,720 Yen, or $48 Rent was 23,000 Yen, or $115 Apartment gas was 5,580, or $28 which left me 141,700 Yen or $730 Net pay. In England I was paid each week either by check or in cash. On one occasion the director, after not seeing us for two weeks, met us at a train station in pouring rain. Under our umbrellas he pulled out an enormous wad of pounds and asked, Now, what do I owe you? He gave each of us 220 pounds or about $500 tax free. 2. What were your accommodations like? In England I was provided with a furnished room, maid service, and meals at the residential schools. (This is a school where the students sleep, eat, and attend their classes.) In Japan I paid partial rent (115.) for a spacious one bedroom apartment that was completely furnished. My first night in Japan I needed only to buy some food. All of the cooking utensils, television, bedding, etc., were provided. I was also required to pay for the gas I used in the apartment which was between $25 and $30 per month. In Saudi Arabia I shared a two bedroom apartment with another single teacher. The school provided and paid the full rent of the apartment. It had wall to wall carpeting, and all the furniture and utensils were provided. Teachers with families had larger apartments in the same building or elsewhere in town. The apartments were new and everything worked, including refrigerators and air conditioners. There was one exception to this. On one occasion I was nearly electrocuted while taking a shower. The heating element in the water heater had rusted through and was sending electricity through the water. I managed to jump free, but the real problem was that it took the administration a week or more to locate another water heater and have it installed. In Spain I located and paid the rent on a small one bedroom apartment. The rent was 16,000 pesetas about $150. It was completely furnished except for dishes and linens. The landlord charged me a $100 security deposit which I got back in full. 3. What about transportation into and out of each country? And while you were working did the school provide you with a car? This varied. I paid my own transportation to and from England, as it was only a summer position. And while I was in the country I provided my own transportation unless it was a school sponsored event, in which case the school would reimburse me. The same situation existed in Spain. Japan offered to fly me out of the country at their expense once I had completed my contracted year, but I had to pay my way into the country. While I was working, they provided me with a motor scooter and free gas, and then later a car. I would simply save up my gas receipts and then the owner of the school would reimburse me. The scooter I kept at home. The car stayed at the school and was used mainly for school business, although I did use it for personal trips on several occasions. In Saudi Arabia the school paid the cost of the flight into the country, and, provided that one completed the contract, it would pay the way out. Also, the school paid the full price of a ticket to America, even though I was only going as far as England, which was an added bonus. For transportation within the country, the school owned a bus which would pick us up each morning and take us home after classes. Many teachers purchased their own cars simply for convenience and in order to explore the country on the weekends. 4. What were the facilities like at the school? Each school reflected the administrator or owner who ran it. In England, the year-around school was housed in an old, four-story brick building in the center of town. The stairs creaked, and on the cooler days the rooms were chilly, but the school was kept clean and neat. In each classroom there was a chalk or felt board, tables, chairs, and desks. There was also a wealth of books and materials for teachers to use. During the summer the school was expanded to other sites, including an all girls school that wasnt being used in the summer, and a local university. Both of these facilities were quite nice. In Japan the school was one large room on the second floor of an office building. Half of my classes took place there. The others were out in the country side in peoples homes or other rented offices. I would either take the train or drive to these classes. On many occasions the adult students would make me dinner if the class was scheduled in the evening at their homes. Also one of the bedrooms in my apartment served as a classroom once a week. The school in Saudi was an abandoned Aramco Oil Company apartment building. It was not in good shape. The toilets were clogged; the once beautiful swimming pool was half filled and looked like a swamp with coke cans and bottles floating in it. There were enough books, but the selection was limited. The classrooms were small, and as one teacher put it, This is basically a chalk and talk school. 5. Did you have a wife and children with you? No, but my friends, Bill and Jo, took their twelve year old daughter with them to England and Saudi Arabia. In Saudi, she was enrolled in the same school at which her mother taught. Also a couple from Ireland enrolled their seven year old daughter in the girls section of Manarat International School. They claimed it was the best educational experience Cindy could have had. On top of that she learned Arabic better than any of us. Another couple from New Zealand had their first baby in Saudi Arabia and two years later, their second in Indonesia. Each year they send me a photo Christmas card, and they all look well and happy. From 'How To Find Jobs Teaching Overseas' by Jim Muckle Booklets From Jim Muckle @

Anyone in the world By Ced Reynolds 1 Peter 1:22-25 As we studied this week, what was it that stood out to you the most? I'll do a brief review of what the message was about. There were two questions posed to the congregation. Here they are: 1. How was the soul purified according to Peter's writing in 1 Peter? Here's a hint. Refer back to verse 13-14 in 1 Peter 1 Describe the six components Peter referred to regarding how the soul is purified. 2. Regarding obeying the truth, what was the truth that was obeyed? Here's a hint. Refer back to verse 15 & 16 in 1 Peter 1 Describe the command of the Lord regarding the truth Peter quoted in verse 16. Peter writes about two basic subjects in 1 Peter. The first was the salvation of the believer The second was the holiness of the believer As many of us first received Christ as our savior, we saw many things happen in our lives that were signs to us that God was truly in our lives. Ask yourself this question. As I experienced the signs the Lord showed me as a new believer, did I ever seek for the sign of living holy? Chances are most of us didn't. Of course there always exceptions. When I first came to Christ, my focus was on living a better life as it pertained to the things of the natural. My thoughts were that God came into my life to help me "get over in the world." The thought never crossed my mind that He had a bigger purpose that me "getting over in the world." When I became aware of holiness, it didn't come to me as one of those other signs I had grown to expect from God. It was more about crossing over to a place where I began to walk by faith and not by what I saw. Holiness was one of those things I couldn't see and it was something that rose from deep within my heart. It was a conviction I felt to live for God without expecting the things He could provide but rather to live for Him for who He was. When the word came to me regarding being holy because God was holy, it dawned on me that because God said it, I could be it. Notice I didn't say do it. Holiness is not about doing it. It's about being what God intended us to be. Oh yeah, there are some changes we make in our lives as referred to in 1: Peter 1:13 & 14. But the being part comes from God. It's like nobody can be you but you. You don't have to try to be you, you just are. So when it comes to being holy, we are holy because God is holy. As I ministered this word, I drew close the the passage of scripture that mentions how "the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." (1 Corinthians 1:18) Sometimes even as believers we have to realize our natrual minds may not receive what the word of God has to say about who we are and how we are to be. This is where it takes us walking by faith and not by sight to live according to the way the Lord has called us. Think about this for a minute. If we could understand what the word of God said when we lived in a un-regenerated state, why would we need to be born again? It's time to move beyond expecting the signs and wonders and live by faith and be holy. As new babes in Christ it's not a bad thing to know God exists in your life because of what He's done for you. Moving beyond that is to take the word of God seriously and know that "these signs will follow those who believe:" Jesus said, "In My name, they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." (Mark 16:17&18) Where does maturity in Christ take us? 1. It takes to a new walk by faith and not by sight. 2. It takes us to being holy because our Lord is holy. 3. It takes us to signs now following us. The question for us now is, how much have we matured since we've been born again? Pastor Cedric Reynolds

Anyone in the world By Bill McRea A good design and layout plan are necessary for having a good restaurant. Many entrepreneurs would say that their dream business will be to own their own restaurants. Restaurants are good businesses which can be very fulfilling. The mere fact that people go to your restaurant to eat is already something to cherish. Its like having people inside your house every once in a while craving for your home-baked goodies. A successful restaurant will need a good design and layout plan. Design and layout plans are dependent on different factors which will come and influence the final decisions later on. In fact, the output of the layout plans can definitely affect the success of the restaurants. People often go to a new restaurant and they think to themselves they should have put that plant elsewhere, it obstructs the good view or I wish they hadnt put too much light in here. These are certain small things which can really add up and can end up influencing the customers to go to the other side of the street where another restaurant is calling their tummies. After the type of food and service are identified, the next step is to hire consultants regarding the design of the restaurant. These are some of the things that you need to take into consideration when considering different floor and layout plans for the restaurant. -Density of customers The layout plan should be based mostly on the comfort that the people who will eat will be getting. Even fast food restaurants consider the density of people, especially in peak hours, even though it may seem that these restaurants become too crowded during lunch time. For formal dining restaurants which cater to the upper class, it maybe wise to provide more space between the tables since these restaurants dont really rely on the number of people per day. Their revenues depend on the pricing of the food items. There would be more provision for more eye candies such as furniture and art works. -Style of service The layout and floor plans should also be based on the type of service that the restaurant will give. Fast food restaurants and self-service restaurants would need less distance between the tables since the food won't be served there. For other restaurants which provide table service, the space between the tables is very important so as to prevent too much clutter from happening in a specific end of the restaurant. -Type of building The layout plan is restricted by the type of structure where the restaurant will be built. You should be able to take into consideration all the different curves and the minor details in the structure before proceeding. -Lighting Proper lighting is very important for every restaurant. The lighting should be able to match the mood and the type of service of the restaurant. A relaxed atmosphere can be complemented by bright lighting while serene and serious moods can be accompanied by subtler shades. Designing the restaurant will be divided into two important parts: the dining area and the production area. The dining area is important because this is the essence of the structure of the restaurant. The people should be comfortable in eating in the restaurant and this will be determined as early as the designing phase. Studies have revealed that 50 percent of the time, people come in restaurants as pairs, 30 percent come alone while the remaining 20 percent usually come in groups. The production area is the second major part of any restaurant. The main thing about the production area should be efficiency. The organization of the kitchen will determine the speed by which the food can be cooked and served. The production area design should take into consideration other things like space for storage, food preparation, baking, cooking, trash storage, production aisles, employee facilities and other such matters. In hiring design consultants, the restaurant owner should always remember to put a clause of confidentiality in the contract. This is to prevent the consultants from leaking certain parts of the design to other people, especially to the competitors. This can be as simple as a single-line clause which states that everything regarding the design will be owned by the client. These are some useful things to remember in designing. The most important thing to remember in designing a restaurant is to keep in mind the people who will be eating at the restaurant for they will be the ultimate lever of its success or failure. Anyone in the world By Chrystal Holman Making your own flower seed wedding favor items has many benefits, including saving cost and having a lot of fun. Let's see how you can do that. A wedding is an expensive affair to say the least. On the other hand, it is also your very special day that you want to be absolutely perfect. You probably want people to remember your day for many years to come. One of the decisions you need to make is what to give to your wedding guest as favors. You could buy pre-made favors, which will save some time but will also cost more money. Making your own wedding favors enables you to give your wedding guests exactly what you want. By giving them a packet of flower seed you give them something that they can use. Something edible as wedding favor seems to be the norm. However, once consumed the wedding favor is forgotten. With flower seeds, when the flowers bloom your wedding guests can admire them and remember that they received the packet of flower seed from you at your wedding. One can say that the beautiful flowers will remind friends and family of the blooming love between you and your spouse. Pick the flower seed to be of flowers that can be planted during the next planting season following your wedding. It's of little use if you give your wedding guests a packet of flower seed during summer that can only be planted the next spring. Give them flower seed as a wedding favor that can be planted in fall if your wedding is in summer, and flower seed for planting in spring if your wedding is during the winter. To make your own flower seed wedding favors, the first thing you will need to buy is bulk flower seed. Do not buy the small individual packets. It will be far more expensive than buying in bulk. Secondly, you will need cards for the personalized message to your wedding guests and small containers to hold the flower seeds. For containers you can consider tiny wedding favor buckets, small rectangular or triangular boxes, teeny-tiny shopping bags or beach bags, or any other suitable container that will fit your wedding theme. Make sure that you buy the cards and containers from a wedding favor store, so that your wedding favors look professional and not like something picked up from a dollar store. By involving friends and family in assembling your flower seed wedding favors, you can have a lot of fun. You can even turn the "manufacturing task" into a series of social events where you can chat about the upcoming wedding while making your own flower seed wedding favors. Chrystal Holman recommends these DIY wedding favor items that you can pick from, and these many options for bulk flower seed to give to your wedding guests as a long-term reminder of your wedding. Anyone in the world By Steve Hill Despite big efforts and huge amounts of money being spent by western governments, people are still becoming more and more overweight. This article looks into why this might be happening and also about the health problems which can arise due to this increase in weight. The problem with some forms of dieting Many people follow a particular diet and after a few months have reached their ideal weight. They then relax and go back to living life as they had been before they started the diet. The result is that within only a short period of time, they will not only have put all of the weight back on, but that they are actually likely to be even more fatter than they were before they started the diet. Your all round body shape is also likely to change, men can gain much larger waists and chins, women can see an increase in their bust, larger hips and bottom. It is very difficult and you need to have a large amount of self-discipline, but it is important to remember that once you have reached a weight you are happy with, that you continue to follow the diet in some form. Going back to your old bad habits will only bring back the weight problem which you hated so much. Once you have lost your excess weight, write down how great it makes you feel and how proud you are. Write about how you will never go back to your old way of living and about your plans for the future, as this new slimmer person that you have become. At times you may lose focus and be tempted to go back to your bad habits, of over eating or over drinking of alcohol for example. This is when you read your journal and that should ensure that you quickly realise that the temptation is simply not worth it. Health problems for people who are overweight: I used to be far too fat and it caused me to have a low self-esteem. I had quite a hard time at school with people often teasing me and calling me names. I lost a lot of my confidence and soon started to spend much more time alone. As I grew older I found it hard to meet girls. I believed that they would not want to date a man of my weight and my overall lack of confidence made it difficult to even approach and talk to them. I found life to be quite tough due to my weight problem. I would often become depressed about how unfortunate I was and would stress about the future.
